Celebrate your Free Spirit
Time for some fun on Women’s Day

Enough of 9 to 5, I-don’t-have-time-to-breathe routine. Gather your BFFs and give yourself a break this Women’s Day. Celebrate your indomitable spirit, your womanhood. Indulge in a scrumptious meal, a 7-course one, if you will. Or just go out for a fun night of coffee, desserts and gossip with your gang of girls… ‘coz you deserve it.

As Louise Otto-Peters, a famous women’s rights activist, once rightly said, “The history of all times, and of today especially, teaches that… women will be forgotten if they forget to think about themselves.” So think about yourself and gift yourself a day of fun!

Pamper yourself with a decadent foot massage:…followed by a pedicure, of course. There’s no better way to make your tired feet feel happy, pretty and wonderful. And while you’re at it, sip on some green tea, listen to your favourite music and let your body enjoy the simple pleasures of unwinding.

Indulge yourself, buy some really sexy lingerie: Wearing something sexy will make you feel sexy. And that, by default, will boost your self-confidence. Don’t believe it? Well, go to work wearing a sensuous push-up bra paired with lace panties instead of your daily cotton inner-wear and we bet you’ll notice a difference in your attitude in no time.

Grab a leisure lunch with your BFFs: Food, wine and gossip; we’re sure that’s all you need to de-stress. Although you don’t need a specific day to catch up with your besties, Women’s Day serves as a perfect excuse to get your lazy bum out of the house for a long, relaxing brunch. Have a heart-to-heart conversation with your friends. Talk about women, whom you personally know, who have inspired you, who have beaten the odds, or someone who has broken the glass ceiling. In the spirit of the occasion, celebrate these women and their awesome story.

Tag your fave girls in Facebook post: Tell them how much you love them or appreciate them. It could be your mom, your sister, your friend, your mentor or even your colleague; let them know that their presence in your life is invaluable. You can even write a small testimony for each of them to make it more personal.

Dance the night away: You’re young, you’re free, and there’s no better way to celebrate your individuality, your free-spirit than by allowing yourself to escape to the world of dance, music and pure madness!

Wear purple: #PaintItPurple is the theme for this year’s International Women’s Day. So go ahead and get decked in the traditional feminist colour that symbolises justice and dignity. Inform your friends about the same, it will make a helluva purple-selfie!
